Is Alzheimer's Inevitable?

Is Alzheimers Inevitable?

Alzheimer’s disease is a type of dementia which actually causes physical changes within the human brain. These changes can outwardly manifest themselves in the patient in the form of confusion in conducting simple daily tasks, memory loss as well as depression. Currently, there are over 5 million people battling with this disease in the US alone, and the numbers continue to rise. This illness costs the US in excess of 140 billion dollars a year! Furthermore, Alzheimer’s is an illness which accounts for between 50 to 80 percent of all occurrences of dementia.

The conventional medical definition, commentary, and conclusion are that Alzheimer is a progressive and incurable disease that destroys memory and other important mental functions. The symptoms of dementia evolve slowly but do worsen over time. The vast majority of these cases occur among individuals above 65 years of age; however, worryingly there is a rising trend of early-onset Alzheimer’s among younger people. Cases are actually being discovered among people who are 40 years of age and even younger! As mentioned earlier the disease is described as progressive and incurable, and so it is expected that at some unspecified time in the future the patient will inevitably need full-time dependent care and sadly, in many cases, the disease does prove fatal!

IT’S NOT OVER ‘TIL THE FAT LADY SINGS

But that’s not the full story - far from it - and it is crucial to know that conventional medicine is not the only voice on this critical life changing and life threatening health issue! Neither is conventional medicine the authority on these matters. In recent times, much research has been carried out in attempts to reduce the onset of Alzheimer’s disease, to prevent the disease and ultimately with high hopes of actually curing the illness. One of the phenomenal successes that have received significant interest is the mammoth breakthroughs which involve a natural remedy; the use of Organic Coconut Oil!

SPEAKING OF FAT

Coconut oil is highly saturated in its natural unrefined form. It has a shelf life of not less than two years and is not prone to oxidation like other saturated oils.
According to Dr. Beverly Teter of the University of Maryland, coconut oil improves the overall cholesterol factors in the body. She also found that it helps to diminish the symptoms of Parkinson’s disease, as well as Schizophrenia and acts as an antibiotic which can kill viruses. Conventional antibiotics don’t destroy viruses, although, they are wrongly prescribed to do just that.

Dr. Teter tells us that coconut oil helps boost the immune system, which is the body’s defense responsible for killing harmful pathogens, no wonder it is considered a superfood! Individuals suffering from neurological disorders should consider diets that are high in saturated fats, and yes this advice is in stark opposition to mainstream dietary advice for low-fat diets, but nonetheless is effective.

THE MAGIC IN NATURE

A fabulous benefit of the saturated fat provided by pure organic coconut oil is that it has the ability to supply your brain with an alternative source of energy in the form of ketones. It was discovered that ketones are capable of treating brain-related diseases like Alzheimer by providing high energy fuels to nourish the brain.
So what are ketones? Ketones generally get a rap, as they are produced from stored fat when the body is subjected to starvation, but they can also be produced just by converting the medium chain fatty acids in certain foods. Coconut oil is one of nature’s sources of these particular Medium Chain Triglycerides (MCTs).

One notable case involving the benefits of the use of organic coconut oil in curing Alzheimer’s involves a medical doctor, Dr. Mary Newport, whose husband was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s. Her husband, Steve, was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s disease after a poor result on the traditional clock test carried out. To test for the disease, patients are asked to draw a clock showing a numbered face and hands demonstrating time. Steve performed so poorly that he was described as having severe symptoms.

She decided to explore the disease to find a possible solution to her husband’s illness. According to Dr. Newport, her husband’s illness was substantially reversed by the introduction of organic coconut oil as a major component of his diet. The basic theory behind the healing process involves supplementing the lack of glucose in the brain resulting from the illness and substituting the glucose with ketones from ingesting the oil.

The use of organic coconut oil has widespread use for many purposes including for cooking, as dressings, as supplements and for skin and beauty treatments all over the world. So aside from being a food staple to hundreds of thousands of people throughout the world, it is powerful to know that organic coconut oil reduces the chances of acquiring Alzheimer’s disease and has the capability of reversing its debilitating effects.
